Hazel Street
A Narrowboat is Launched

On 24th June 1999 a new narrowboat was Delivered and Launched at Clifton Cruisers on the North Oxford Canal at Rugby. This 58 ft Narrowboat, to be called Hazel Street, is one of a series of brand new luxury Narrowboats to join the Hire fleet at Clifton Cruisers. Over the next few weeks, Hazel Street was be fitted out to become a Luxury 6 berth narrowboat, providing an excellent means of exploring the waterways of England and Wales coupled with a high standard of living accommodation.

The Semi-Traditional style of Hazel Street couples the looks and profile of a traditional boat with the large stern area of a cruiser style. This will enable several boater's crew to sit together with the steerer. The boat will have a fixed double bed, a dining area which will convert into a double bed and two single bunks which can also be used as a double bed. There are also 2 pump-out toilets, a shower and a fully equipped kitchen. The Shell which is made entirely of steel and weighing approximately 8.5 tons was constructed by Falcon in Whitchurch, Shropshire and delivered by road. Following fit-out and adding ballast it weighs in the region of 17 tons.

To hire Hazel Street or one of the other narrowboats in the fleet go to Clifton Cruisers or Hoseasons.
